Total exemption

Students entitled include:

  • those who have an ISEE between 0 and 23,000 Euros (già presente nel file TASSE_come pagare)
  • those who are eligible for the regional educational grant 
  • those who enrol in the first year of either a single-cycle degree or Master's degree course, who have achieved a secondary school-leaving diploma with a final mark of 100 cum laude
  • those who enrol in the first year of a Master’s degree course (+2), who graduated from the Bachelor’s degree course with a final mark of 110 cum laude
  • those who have a disabled parent. Applications are to be sent no later than 31st October 2020
  • those who have won an educational grant from the Italian Government
  • those who have either a serious disability or have an invalidity of no less than 66%

Partial exemption

Students entitled include:

  • those who are eligible for the regional educational grant, but who have been enrolled for one year beyond the normal duration of their degree course.
  • those who have their university credits re-assessed after having interrupted their studies for at least 2 academic years
  • those who have become parents. Submit the application.
  • those who are carrying out military service. Submit the application.
  • those who are carrying out civil service. Submit the application.
  • those who have suffered a serious unforeseen personal or family inconvenience. Submit the application.
  • those who have suffered COVID-19-related economic problems. Submit the application.
  • Those who have an invalidity of between 46% and 65% (segue pagina Esonero parziale)

Who is granted the exemption?

The exemption is granted to those who submit a disability certificate between 46% and 65% inclusive. 

Amounts due

  1. for enrolments on degree courses:
  • 314 Euros (1st instalment)
  • 158 Euros (2nd instalment)
  • 159 Euros (3rd instalment)
  1. for enrolment on a PhD with an educational grant, a 200 Euro discount shall be applied to the annual enrolment fee.
  2. for enrolment at Specialisation Schools, application of the lowest fee bracket.

Method of exemption for years subsequent to the first

Those who are enrolled in years subsequent to the first are automatically (without having to re-submit the certification) included in the exemption procedure if the certifications submitted in previous academic years are still valid and up-to-date.

Every year the University examines the certifications in order to verify requirements to maintain the exemption.

First application submitted for years subsequent to the first  

To apply for exemption for the first time, for years subsequent to the first, it is necessary:

  • To upload a copy of the certification, by following the instructions and deadlines specified on the dedicated page
  • To notify the Right to Study through the SOS service and request the application of the exemption on grounds of invalidity (specifying the percentage) or disability, for the current academic year.

The documentation submitted and the related application shall be assessed by the competent offices, which shall communicate the outcome of the application as well as instructions to proceed with the payment or refund request (if applicable).
