Short description of the research team

Thematic fields of interest/research areas: Oncohematology, Cardiovascular, Inflammation.

Experimental approaches: preclinical studies in vitro (in primary human cell models) and in vivo (in mice models); use of clinical samples for investigation of biomarkers and biobanking.

Manager/head of the team: Prof. Paola Secchiero

Team members: Prof. Paola Secchiero, Dr Veronica Tisato, Dr. Rebecca Voltan, Dr. Elisabetta Melloni, Dr. Fabio Casciano, Dr. Chiara Agnoletto, Dr. Lorenzo Caruso, Dr. Arianna Gonelli,

Research infrastructures:

The research team laboratories are located in an autonomous area of about 350 sqm in the building of the Interdepartmental Center of the “Laboratory of Technology for Advanced Therapies” (LTTA) of the University of Ferrara and are organized into independent units equipped for: a) cell culture and cell manipulation; b) biologic bank and cryopreservation; c) multiparametric flow cytometry immunophenotyping and cell sorting; d) molecular biology studies, with a protected area for RNA and RT-PCR; e) protein analyses and purification. Moreover, the research team has access to the interdepartmental Animal facility as well as to other facilities of the LTTA, including the facility for Advance Microscopy and the facility for Microarray (for details, see: http://ltta.tecnopoloferrara.it.)
