Sole MED - Supporting a smarter & innovative Open Lab network in Euro-MED area
The project aims to establish a transnational Open Lab Network in the Euro-MED area to boost Open Innovation, business opportunities, and training models for youths. The OL Network will be based on transferring and capitalising the Emilia Romagna regional project (ESFER 14-20) implemented also in the LP urban area (Ferrara), matching, merging, and tailoring similar experiences of urban collaborative spaces and innovation hubs that emerged in the territories of the other involved partners (Lleida - Spain, Region of Thessaly – Greece, Razlog – Bulgaria, etc.). Transferring and structuring a Network on these similar experiences of collaborative spaces can really strengthen and optimise innovation capacities of SMEs, Startups and youth initiatives, providing and sharing in these spaces, capacity building and targeted business training, digital solutions, STEM programs for youths and creating digital pathways for SMEs. At the same time, the S.o.l.e project aims to transfer a specific business training/development module, focused on Sustainable Bioeconomy sectors, for young entrepreneurs (18-30), based on the “Startup Creation Lab” model, implemented in recent years within the Open Lab Network spaces. Systematically designing and implementing these training modules, the Bio Economy Startup Creation Lab aims to create a robust platform for nurturing bioeconomy start-ups. The training course will merge Open Innovation paradigm with Bioeconomy value chain concepts and notions through specific modules such as: idea generation, codesign thinking, acceleration and prototyping, sustainable practices in the Bioeconomy, and Innovation in bioeconomy. The course will be implemented in the last 6 months of the project in 6 different EURO-MED urban collaborative spaces. With this Bio Economy Startup Creation Lab, we can create a dynamic and supportive environment that empowers young entrepreneurs, fosters innovation, and drives economic growth across the Euro-Med regions.
