Training objectives

------------------------------------------------------------
Partizione Studenti: Partizione A
------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 54932 - TEORIE E CRITICA DEL DESIGN
The lab aims to address the study, understanding and experimentation of the potential of design in the enhancement of artistic-cultural heritage with specific reference to the project and production of temporary exhibitions.

Delving into theoretical principles and critical tools, the student will be guided to the formation of a framework of knowledge inherent in the valorisation of cultural heritage to theoretical, critical and analytical support of the design part. Through the formation of methodological tools in the field of product and exhibition design, the course, through the practice of drawing, making models and direct verification, will enable students to mature autonomy and independence in design practice (knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities) for the conception of curatorial, exhibition and communication projects.

The Design Theory and Criticism course will focus on design for the enhancement of cultural heritage collections with particular reference to curatorial design and metaproject of exhibition design and communication. Teaching activities will be aimed at transferring theoretical principles, critical tools and methods for analysing, selecting and arranging collections of various kinds.
A further objective will concern the maturation in students to full awareness on the complexity of issues related to an enhancement that operates with a systemic approach and is effectively positioned in the more fluid and composite cultural scenarios of contemporary times than ever before.

Modulo: 70957 - DESIGN DI PRODOTTO E DELL'ALLESTIMENTO

Partizione Studenti: Partizione B
------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 54932 - TEORIE E CRITICA DEL DESIGN
The laboratory purpose is to guide, study, understanding and experiment the design potential and enhancement of artistic-cultural heritage.

Deepening theoretical principles and critical tools, students will be guided to build a framework of knowledge concerning enhancement of cultural assets to theoretical, critical and analytical support of the design. Through the development of methodological tools, drawing practice, models creation and direct verification, the course will allow students to develop an autonomous and independent design practice (related to knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities) making concepts related to enhancement of some specific samples of north-eastern Italy.

The course in Design Theory and Criticism will focus on museum design enhancement of cultural heritage with particular reference to the curatorial project and the metaproject of training and communication. The didactic activity will be finalized to transfer theoretical principles, critical tools and analysis methods, selection and arrangement of collections of historical evidences and artifacts.
A further objective will concern the students growth about full awareness of complexity connected to an enhancement that operates with a systemic approach and that is effectively positioned in the cultural scenarios of contemporary life more than ever fluid and composite.

Partizione Studenti: Partizione A
------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 54932 - TEORIE E CRITICA DEL DESIGN
Product and Exhibition Design:
The teaching activity will be developed through lectures, seminars, site visits and exercises followed by design verifications step by step that will allow to evaluate contextually to the demonstrated commitment, the student's willingness and ability to investigate a theme, acquire information, elaborate synthesis and ideational solutions consistent with the proposed topics and maturity in communicating the project.

Design Theory and Criticism:
The teaching activity will be developed through lectures, seminars, site visits and exercises followed by design verifications step by step: this articulation aims to approach students operationally to the themes and methods of design for the enhancement of cultural heritage, through research work, study and critical reflection.
