Teaching

The official list of courses for the Department of Law's three degree programmes is published each year in June for the following academic year. The course lists for the 2026–2027 academic year are available here (see the files entitled "Percorso di formazione"):

• Single-Cycle Master's Degree in Law, in Ferrara
• Single-Cycle Master's Degree in Law, at the Rovigo satellite campus
• Three-Year Bachelor's Degree in Legal Services, in Ferrara

Some courses are elective, please check the list. 

Additional activities complement the range of courses available to students. These include intensive courses offered by Visiting Professors affiliated with international universities.

Moreover, throughout the semester students may attend seminars organized by the Centre for European Legal Studies on Macro-Crime (Macrocrimes), the Centre for Advanced Training and Consultancy for Administrations (CAFCA), the European Documentation Centre (EDC) and the PhD programme in European Union Law and National Legal Systems.

Career opportunities

The Master’s Degree Programme in Law provides students with the knowledge and skills required to pursue a wide range of high-level professional opportunities. The qualification primarily enables graduates to access the legal professions of lawyer and notary (in both cases after completing an eighteen-month traineeship and passing the relevant State Examination), as well as the ordinary judiciary (following the acquisition of the qualifications required to participate in the public competitive examination).

Law graduates may take part in public competitions for managerial positions within the Public Administration, as well as competitions for positions within the European Union and other international organisations, while also having the opportunity to pursue a career in the diplomatic service.

Graduates can also work in the private sector, for example in legal departments, companies, banking, financial, insurance and cooperative organisations, as well as in non-governmental organisations engaged in humanitarian and social solidarity activities.

The international focus of the programme’s curriculum can also provide significant opportunities abroad or within professional environments that regularly operate in an international context and maintain relations with foreign countries.

Our Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Legal Sciences for Security and Prevention, with its three distinctive curricula that are unique in the Italian higher education landscape, provides students with access both to public sector careers and to employment opportunities in the private sector.

▶ The curriculum in “Legal Sciences for Police, Investigations and Justice Services” offers training that prepares graduates for careers within police forces and, more broadly, in public security management roles, support services for the administration of justice, and private investigation activities.

▶ The curriculum in “Legal Sciences for Occupational, Environmental and Product Safety” is designed to prepare students for professional roles as consultants or company managers responsible for occupational health and safety, environmental safety, and product safety.

▶ The curriculum in “Legal Sciences for Business Risk Prevention and Management” enables students to develop specialised skills for careers as employment consultants, industrial property consultants, corporate legal professionals, and experts in financial and insurance activities.
