COLOURS | Virtual Journey Week: A Hybrid Cultural Adventure
From November 18 to 22, the Centro Linguistico Ateneo (CLA), in collaboration with eight other European partner universities of the COLOURS Alliance, hosted the Virtual Journey Week. This hybrid event offered a unique opportunity for participants to embark on a linguistic and cultural adventure across nine European countries, allowing them to practice new languages, explore diverse cities and cultures, and connect with students and colleagues from all over Europe.
The Virtual Journey Week was a vibrant blend of interactive digital experiences, including videos, quizzes, and language games, accessible throughout the week on the BloomHum platform. Participants also enjoyed scheduled presentations, mini-courses, and live language cafés, making the learning experience both educational and fun.
The event attracted 50 students from UNIFE, transforming the UNIFE Language Center into a lively hub for those interested in multilingualism and multiculturalism. It gained visibility among students who were previously unaware of the center. During the Italian session, both local and international students expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to connect, highlighting the need for more intercultural events to foster mutual understanding and language exchange. Following the event, some students, both from UNIFE and ERASMUS, expressed interest in COLOURS and wish to participate as volunteers.
