The Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is based on the Model United Nations (MUN) methodology and is designed as an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, and interfaculty blended learning project. Model United Nations is an educational simulation where students explore diplomacy, international relations, and the work of the United Nations through experiential and challenge-based learning. By tackling real global issues, students are encouraged to collaboratively develop solutions in a structured, democratic environment.
Programme
The programme combines online and physical mobility components. It includes three preparatory virtual workshops followed by a five-day physical mobility focused on a Model United Nations conference.

Virtual Phase: Three preparatory online workshops introducing the structure and rules of the Model United Nations, guiding research on global challenges from the assigned country's perspective, and supporting position paper drafting. Students also learn how to effectively represent their country and translate research into active committee participation.

Physical Mobility: Five days in Osijek, Croatia, where students participate in a Model United Nations conference, representing assigned countries, debating in committees, negotiating, and voting on policy proposals (resolutions) aimed at resolving current global challenges through cooperation and consensus-building.
Throughout the programme, students develop key soft skills such as critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, teamwork, and academic writing. A strong emphasis is placed on self-reflection, as participants must represent the official position of another country rather than their own personal views, thereby fostering empathy, perspective-taking, and intercultural understanding.
