The aim is to provide the student with skills in assessment of clinical linguistics using the latest approaches in theory and practice as well as application of clinical tests.

Acquire knowledge about the profession of speech therapist in all its aspects. Main stages of language acquisition.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of phonetics, phonology, morpho-syntaxis General knowledge of linguistics, and developmental psychology. Sensitivity and susceptibility to human contact.

Speech language assessment.
Functional subcomponents of the linguistic input and output system.
Clinical tests validated for the Italian language and for study of different linguistic levels.
Functional profile of the patient.
Assessment of communicative conversational skills.

Learning assessment procedures

SPEECH THERAPY GENERAL: written examination, six open-ended questions and a phonetic dictation
SPEECH THERAPY THEORIES: (First part) is given a mandate to create an elaborate in small groups; the product is discussed in class with the teacher and your classmates; for the discussion it is granted a time comprised between 30 and 45 minutes of time. Besides the exhibition of students it is possible for the teacher to add a question.
(Second part) Written examination: two open questions to be developed in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS.
