Training objectives

TRAINING
The student at the end of the course of training is able to identify and meet the health care needs of the person with high complexity of care
LABORATORY
The student will be able to establish effective interpersonal relationships, in order to activate a helping relationship with the person / family. Therefore will also be able to integrate his activities in the organization of the service, integrating multi-professional within the team and respecting the ethical principles of the profession.

Prerequisites

Medical-surgical sciences, biomedical sciences, propaedeutic sciences, preventive medicine and health care services
Having completed the number of hours scheduled for the 2nd year internship, having achieved the specific targets with positive evaluation.

Course programme

TRAINING
The course provides the skills required to:
-implement the nursing process in the Units and Services which constitute Departments both in the hospital and in the territory
-acquire a solid grounding in the rules and regulations governing the organization of psychiatric health services
-carry out nursing evaluation and patient interview in psychiatric setting,
- treat priority health problems,
-identify needs and relative nursing diagnosis,
-promote acquisition of nursing care skills addressed to the family
-implement the nursing process in emergency setting both in and out of the hospital
LABORATORY
Individual and group meetings led by the tutors of the course for the application of the care process, adopting the model of the clinical practice of bifocal LJ Carpenito and / or the Model of Functional Responses of Gordon with NANDA Taxonomy, applied to people assisted by the student trainees.

Didactic methods

Internship with guided participation activities and with partial direct management of activities.

Learning assessment procedures

TRAINING
- Passing the clinical internship successfully.
- Development of two clinical cases (using the nursing record for teaching purposes) successfully.
LABORATORY
Execution of supplementary activities of the laboratory and clinical and methodological tutoring + written exam
