- Training objectives
- a)	 Knowledge on discipline
 • Learn the fundamentals of the sociological approach to health and well-being;
 • Know the main sociological orientations in the field of health and care;
 • Know the debate on the definitions of health;
 • Deepen the field of care in its relational, organizational and professional aspects;
 • Deepen the issues of self-care, health promotion and communication, education to care.
 b) Know how and capabilities
 • Develop skills on methods of education and self-education to health;
 • Develop skills on health promotion and communication processes;
 • Develop skills on the professionalization processes in the field of educational, social and health care.
 c) Soft skills
 • Develop a personal point of view and argued on some relevant issues in the field of sociology of health;
 • Develop analytical skills and exposure on social and health-specific issues;
 • Develop ability to use contemporary sociological research in the field of sociology of health;
 • Develop capacity to draw up a report on a practical experience in the field of health and care.
- Prerequisites
- Knowledge of the main contemporary sociological analysis and of the main theories and sociological methodologies.
- Course programme
- •	Basic knowledge of the main theories and sociological analysis related to the sociology of health;
 • Knowledge of the debate on the definition of health;
 • Care practices in history and culture;
 • Practices, professions and organizations of care today;
 • Care relationships in the digital age;
 • Collaboration between educational care and health care;
 • The perspective of health promotion and self-care education.
- Didactic methods
- Conventional (lectures and group meetings); asynchronous video-lessons available on the University platform and periodic in-depth meetings in streaming (following the indications of the University)
- Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination (in online mode if indicated by the University). Judging criteria of responses are those of the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of the displayed content.
