Training objectives

The course aims to provide the necessary elements to design and implement an environmental monitoring related to civil engineering works and the control of the built environment, with particular reference to buildings.

Prerequisites

To attend the course you need basic knowledge of the basic computational software and commands of a 2D CAD software. Moreover, as indicated by the Manifesto of Studies, to access the activities that take place in the laboratories, it is necessary to acquire the suitability on the Safety training in the workplace according to the D.LGS. 81/2008 and S.M.I ..

Course programme

Laboratory A - Environmental monitoring:
REFER TO GPS TECHNIQUE;
THE MORPHODYNAMICS OF THE COASTALS;
NETWORKS OF CONTROL OF MOVEMENTS
Laboratory B - Structural monitoring:
DEFINITIONS;
STATIC LOAD MONITORING;
MONITORING TO DYNAMIC LOADS.
The analytical course program is available on the course web page.

Didactic methods

- audio / video lessons divided by prerecorded teaching units of a maximum duration of 25 minutes, animated on the Power Point platform, shared on the course web page for each day of the lesson, equivalent to approximately 70% of the course duration, to allow you to follow lessons outside scheduled times;
- remote room class in a Skype or Meet environment on request and / or at an agreed time for questions, comments, additions and teaching assistance, equivalent to approximately 30% of the course duration.

Learning assessment procedures

Verification of students' acquired ability to perform exercises through the correction of papers and participation in the room class.
The final exam focuses on:
- a test to discuss the laboratory exercises. It lasts about 45 minutes and is rated with a score from 0 to 30 e / lode. This test serves to verify both the exhibition skills and the practical notions acquired during the attendance as well as the development of some minimum skills in the Geomatics sector;
- a backup test. The reserve test concerns an open question relating to the theoretical contents of the course, to which the student must answer in writing. The aim is to fill the gaps revealed in the first test or improve the result. The duration of this test is approximately 30 minutes and is assessed with a score from 0 to 30. To pass the exam, a minimum score of 18 out of 30 must be achieved.
