Training objectives
- The course aims to provide knowledge and critical skills concerning the right of public authorities. The course also illustrates the practical application of the principles studied through the analysis of particularly significant judgments. The skills acquired by the student at the end of the course will allow to expose complex legal problems and to know how to solve practical cases using the legal-administrative argument..
Prerequisites
- The course requires a good knowledge of the institutions and the basic principles studied during the preparatory exams: Private Law and especially Constitutional Law. Administrative law requires particularly an excellent knowledge of the principles relating to the sources of law, the form of State (rule of law and separation of powers) and the form of government, as well as the general theory of the legal acts and of subjective situations.
Course programme
- The course will focus on the public organization (State and other public authorities); administrative procedure and administrative liability. A calendar of lectures and related topics will be announced at the beginning of the course. The calendar will also be available for viewing in Google Classroom, code: wswbbge
Didactic methods
- Lectures will be provided in presence and in live streaming (also recorded) on the University's "Blackboard Collaborate" platform.
Learning assessment procedures
- The examination can be carried out by following a choice between:
A) written mode, with 31 multiple-choice questions and direct attribution of a score equal to one point for each correct question (31 = 30 cum laude)
B) oral mode, which will begin immediately after the end of the written test (obviously only for those who have not opted for the latter). The oral exam consists of questions (usually three) taken from the Manual. The final judgment will be expressed through a grade of 18/30 to 30/30, in consideration of the ability demonstrated in the above stages of the examination Reference texts
