Training objectives

This course is placed at the end of the training path and every year it deals with a central topic for the development of the country. This year is focuses on "School and development in post-COVID Italy". It has the aim of encouraging the student to summarize the acquired competences and prepare ad essay to present for discussion.

Prerequisites

None.

Course programme

The course is divided into 20 one-hour teaching units, providing students with the basic material for an active participation in the discussion. The course is divided in 10 lectures, lasting 2 hours each, using streaming with registration, every Tuesday from 10 to 12, starting from 29th September untile 15th December.

4. The Wind rose of education

LECTURE III - 13th October
5. From Platone to the Protestant Reform: the building of the nation and the industrial revolution
6. And in Italy? The historical delays of the country

LECTURE IV - 20th October
7. The school as a development for development, training and growth
8. Globalisation and digitalisation and the education costs in Italy

LECTURE V - 27th October
9. Dispersion, Neet and education levels
10. The Italian situation in the face of the digital revolution

LECTURE VI - 10th November
11. The IV industrial revolution and the new educational needs
12. The social risks of the new educational poverty

LECTURE VII - 17th November
13 The COVID impact on the Italian structural problems
14. Education, growth and inequality in Italy: the Constitution and the autonomy

LECTURE VIII - 24th November
15. A policy for the raise and development beyond COVID. the UNESCO document

LECTURE IX - 1st December

Didactic methods

The course is based on 20 teaching units, providing the basic material for an active participation of students. There will be frequent interaction with the teacher and among participans.

Learning assessment procedures

The course will end with the presentation of an issue (max 10 pages) prepared by the students.
