ACTIVITIES OF THE EDC

  • Educational and training activities: organisation of meetings, conferences and seminars on Community issues and training courses on EU databases
  • Research activities: the publication of a series of monographic studies "Journals of the EDC" aimed at a deeper analysis of the EU policies
  • Dissemination activities: organising events aimed at the general public (such as the annual Europe Day, on 9 May), in collaboration with Eurodesk and Antenna Europe Direct of the City of Ferrara, with which there is a memorandum of understanding for the performance of common activities
  • Information campaigns: meetings and consultations on traineeships with Community Institutions and European agencies, and on work and mobility opportunities offered by the EU to its citizens

PUBLICATIONS OF THE FERRARA EDC

The EDC has its own publishing line which, since the Sixties, has published a series of research studies on topics related to European policies and to the history of European integration. The latest publications have examined topics such as EU environmental law, the rights of prisoners and European prisons, renewable energy and sustainable energy planning. The line has also published the proceedings of conferences organised by the CDE, such as the one entitled "Feed the planet? The role of Europe in world economic and food development".
