Training objectives
- Control of basic methodological tools and command of fundamental issues of Romance Linguistics (with special attention to the Gallo-, Ibero-romance and Italian
linguistic families) and textual Philology, with an eye on the traditional historical debate and phenomenological problems of circulation and reception of literary
products, in the general dynamics of Mediaeval Manuscript Cultures. Improvement of specialized knowledge of Mediaeval Romance Literatures Prerequisites

Course programme
- This course will introduce students to the linguistic and literary analysis of medieval romance texts in prose and verse of the origins.
This year the course will focus on the figures of the marvelous that populate the Romance medieval literature: the fairies of fortune (Morgana and Melusina), the procession of the unburied, the werewolf etc. considered in their fortune in post-medieval European literature. Didactic methods
- Series of lectures to verify linguistic and literary knowledge of Romance Languages. Conferences will be part of the educational offer in 2019.
Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination to verify linguistic and literary knowledge of Romance Languages.
The aim of the oral examination is to verify the knowledge about context, rhetorical analysis, interpretation and studies of an anthology of texts and their literary genres. Reference texts
