Training objectives

The aim of the course is to understand the principles underlying the economy and business economics so that they can be used in various economic systems as well as in the various types of company. At the end of the course, students will have to be in:
Understanding the dynamics of the different economic systems
Analyze the elements underlying the various types of company to understand the decision-making and result dynamics

Course programme

Module I – Principles of Economics
The first module of the course provides an introduction to economic principles, theories and basic concepts concerning economics. The topics covered in the module are the following: introduction to economic principles, demand and supply, elasticity, market efficiency and market failure, externalities, environmental economics (introduction), production function and consumer theory.
MODULE II: BUSINESS ECONOMY
In this module, topics related to the study of business economics will be addressed and in particular:
The classification of companies
The company as a system
The production system
The system of relations
The management system
The information system: With a focus on general accounting and cost accounting
The subjects engaged in the business activity -

Didactic methods

The teaching will be held in person, supported by an asynchronous distance teaching support with video recordings. A classroom will be created in which to interact directly with the teachers.
The course is divided into two modules, each of which will use the same teaching methods.
In both modules, lectures will be held using slides as learning support.

Learning assessment procedures

The knowledge check will take place through a written test with closed answers, common on the two modules.
