introduce advanced topics in quantum mechanics

Course programme


Topics of the course will include
-) Dirac equation
-) Group theory (emphasis will be on group properties; any phenomenological discussion will not be exaustive and will be presented only to illustrate physical applications of group theory):
--) SU(2)/SO(3) (Rotations, Angular Momentum, Strong and Weak isospin)
--) SU(3) (Quark model, QCD)
--) Lorentz Group
