Prerequisites

To access the laboratory, you need:
1. passing the test provided for the course "Fundamentals of stoichiometry".
2. the achievement of the certificates issued at the end of the general training course (4 hours) and specific training for chemistry students (4 hours), in compliance with the provisions on safety in the workplace pursuant to D.lgs.81/2008 e s.m.i., (training provided online).
The certificates obtained must be presented to the teaching staff at the first entrance to the laboratory.

Course programme

Separation of mixtures; density; qualitative and quantitative aspects of chemical reactions; solubility product; preparation of solutions at known concentration; acidity and basicity of solutions; buffer solutions.

Didactic methods

Attendance in the laboratory is compulsory and you must attend at least 2/3 of the hours planned.

Learning assessment procedures

During the exercises, students are required to fill in their laboratory notebook in detail.
The activity sheets must be completed with observations, experimental data and calculations; the cards will then be given to the teachers at the end of each experience
After the conclusion of the laboratory activities, a multiple-choice test of 10 questions will be administered regarding the experiences carried out. The evaluation in thirtieths will contribute to the 30% of the grade of the entire course.
