Training objectives
- THIRD YEAR - SECOND SEMESTER
On completion of Practical Training the student is expected to be able to:
-apply the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation through use of specific techniques (Psychmotility, Theatre, self-help groups, cognitive groups, wellbeing groups, intervention in the workplace, etc)
- apply acquired communication, rehabilitation and management skills involved in the therapeutic relationship
- exercise autonomy in organization of rehabilitation programmes for individual patients or for group therapy (under supervision)
- understand the characteristics of the patient’s psychodiagnostic picture and analyse patient needs
-take part in various moments and activities in the daily organization with increasing autonomy (e.g. as co-cordinator)
- collect data, plan rehabilitation treatment, compile monitor, activity and rehabilitation reports
- analyse the strong and weak points of healthcare treatment and evaluate together with the tutor possible solutions for improvement. Prerequisites
- Passing the placement of the second year
Course programme
- - work with a tutor with expertise in a specific rehabilitation intervention or technique
-participation in planning meetings for that specific rehabilitation intervention or technique
- participation in discussion meetings for a specific intervention
-taking part in meetings devised to discuss the number and characteristics of participating patients
-active participation in the single therapeutic sessions
-evaluation of the session and the outcome of the intervention
- preparation of a report at the end of the internship on the technique used and the underlying theoretical models Didactic methods

Learning assessment procedures
- Internship: The exam consists of a written test which requires a fine training course on a clinical case treated or technique tested in individual activities with the patient and/or group and an oral test aimed at checking the objectives planned for the training course by completing an evaluation board of the internship by the tutor.
The final evaluation takes account of the Seminary evaluation obtained in the training activities planned for the first half and of the Internship of the first half. Reference texts
