Training objectives

Know the organization of a Territorial Psychiatric Service, as an alternative to a Pathological Addiction Service (mission, type of user in charge, activities and services provided, composition of the multi-professional team, procedures for sending and managing cases until discharge ) within the Integrated Welfare Department of Mental Health and Pathological Addictions.
Begin to interact with the various professional figures distinguishing their specific functions and activities
Experience a first contact with users
Learn and apply the principles of hospitality
Knowing how to define and distinguish the various organizational, clinical and rehabilitation activities and their specific characteristics
Learn the methods of collecting and reprocessing the anamnestic data useful for the presentation of the final internship report

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the main types of services relating to DAI SM DP
Knowledge of the main psychiatric and substance abuse disorders
Knowledge of the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation and the therapeutic relationship

Course programme

Attend the internship venues alongside an experienced internship guide in theoretical and practical activities
View the activities aimed at patients included in the various therapeutic-rehabilitation programs
Participate as an observer in planning meetings of assistance and therapeutic-rehabilitative activities
Participate as an observer in first scheduled visits, in urgency, clinical interviews, home visits
Participate as an observer in the discussion of projects on individual clinical cases
Relate to the various types of users pertaining to the service

The exam consists of a written test which includes the development of a report on a clinical case or rehabilitation activities of group type experienced during the internship and an oral test aimed at verifying the learning objectives set for internship by completing an evaluation form of the training from the tutor
