Training objectives
- The course intend to aquire students thorough-knowledges and skills about different examinations techniques such as CCD Digital Dental Sensor, Orthopantomography, Teleradiography, CT, MR.
Prerequisites
- Basic Odonto-stomatological anatomy-physiology knowledges. Detailed knowledges about different examinations techniques such as CCD Digital Dental Sensor, Orthopantomography, Teleradiography, CT, MR and Rinn dentsply.
Course programme
- Conventional anatomy for imaging of the oral cavity, teeth, and jaw bones
Conventional radiography techniques
Endoral radiography techniques using Rinn dentsply
CBCT and CT of oral cavity and Temporo Mandibular Joint (TMJ)
Image processing Didactic methods
- "Ex cathedra" teaching course.
Practical simulation in small groups (2 students / half an hour, 5 meetings for 20 students), located in Diagnostic no.3 – Emergency Radiology Unit of the AOU of Ferrara Learning assessment procedures
- Written examination, with 1 exams in the session June 1 to July 31, 1 exam in extraordinary sessions recovery from September 1 up to 30 and from January 15 to February 28.
3 essay type questions (long answer) that concern all topics during the lessons, and is not bound by defined areas.
The time required for examination is 1:30 hours.
A value between 0 and 10 is assigned to each question, and as well as for the honour assign, the teacher assesses the clarity of exposition, the precision, the ability to synthesize and that to relate the topics.
Texts, PC o smartphones are not allowed. Threshold score of 18 out of 30 is needed to pass the test. Reference texts
