------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53403 - TIROCINIO
------------------------------------------------------------
TRAINEESHIP
The student must be able to perform the main radiographic incidences and projections, basic radiology and contrast investigations, know the different procedural techniques of diagnostic imaging and techniques for carrying out investigations in Computed Tomography must know the general principles of information technology and computer applications in the radiological area, with reference to the archiving of images, reports and data of clinical and health interest. (HIS-RIS-PACS)

Prerequisites

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53402 - SEMINARI
------------------------------------------------------------
SEMINARY
Knowledge of radiological equipment and materials used in the main angiographic Radiology Vascular salt.
Knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology of the following districts: vascular, hepatobiliary, and nervous
Knowledge of radiological anatomy inherent in therapeutic procedures of Interventional Radiology: vases, urinary and biliary tract.

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53403 - TIROCINIO
------------------------------------------------------------
Diagnostic technical knowledge base RX. Anatomic-depth knowledge of human physiological and safety standards.
It’s necessary to have succesfully completed:

Course programme

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53402 - SEMINARI
------------------------------------------------------------
SEMINARY
The seminar focuses on interventional radiology topics:
Interventional Neuroradiology
Interventional Radiology of the vascular
Interventional Radiology apparatus hepatobiliary
Interventional Radiology of the urinary tract

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53403 - TIROCINIO

The traineeship takes place in health facilities associated with S.S.N. mainly University Hospital and AUSL of Ferrara and province.
There is the possibility of being able to carry out an hourly share of the hours of professional training activities in the area of origin by agreeing on the execution of external internship projects with the Director of Educational Activities.
In particular, the second-year internship takes place in a traditional Radiology and diagnostic CT and MRI in order to:
Expand knowledge of radiological techniques acquired in the first year of study and training in the use of the X-ray equipment and Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, an observational training course takes place at the latter diagnostics.
The student will practice in the realization of the main impacts and radiographic views and experience the different procedural imaging techniques.
The student will develop the methods of diagnostic use of radiation, and will apply the main radiation protection standards.
The student will acquire the skills to control the functionality of the equipment.
Manage the quality control of the image and of the equipment.
Interact with others involved in the diagnostic work, with patients and with the internship tutor respecting the organizational hierarchy and the perspective of team work.
Treat patient safety. Describe the characteristics of contrast media used in radiology correlating usage patterns and specific radiological examinations. Comply at all times the code of ethics. Also learn all RX investigation techniques so-called "special" and diagnostics with the use of contrast media.
An indispensable prerequisite to access the MRI diagnostics having followed the MRI Safety course and producing the certificate of passing the test.

Didactic methods

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53402 - SEMINARI
------------------------------------------------------------
SEMINARY
Lectures: 4 hours. Practical exercises in small groups (4 students / hour), at the U.O, Interventional Radiology of the AOU of Ferrara

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53403 - TIROCINIO
------------------------------------------------------------
In the individual health facilities the student is accompanied by an internship guide, qualified and experienced TSRM professional, and assigned to a specific radiological equipment. The placement of students in diagnostic rooms is defined on the basis of the training objectives to be pursued and the specific skills of professional interest.
Simulation activities in educational workshop with anthropomorphic dummy. Classroom meetings.

Learning assessment procedures

SEMINARY
The docimological approach is based both on audits in progress during the lectures / exercises, in order to encourage learning through dialogue, the deepening of issues related to the course and on a final exam consisting of an elaborate exposition (with use of slides) lasting 20 min / student on one of the topics covered. The vote of the candidate, is based on language skills, on matters pertaining to the method and construction of the project exposed, the accuracy of processed data and the methods of presentation and composition of the slides, and the ability to synthesize and systemic organization of the work presented.

TRAINEESHIP
Final assessment is subject to the achievement of the number of hours foressen for the 2nd year of the course of studies. The outcome was evaluated in thirty, weighted average, and includes:
Professional Laboratory evaluation included in the "Learning activities professionalizing" two years I semester (no test).
Seminar evaluation included in "Learning activities professionalizing" two years.
Cards and personal assessment, drafted out of thirty, from TSRM Clinical Tutor at the end of each round of training. The card also analyzes and evaluates in addition to practical skills acquired other components, such as behavioral aspects. These assessments are in the final vote only after passing the test.

The exam aims to evaluate the theoretical cognitive aspects and practical skills in the field of computer tomography is divided into two parts:
1st part written exam lasting 30 minutes with recognition of 6 tables of basic anatomy, radiographic anatomy and CT anatomy and 3 multiple choice questions, identified among the topics of the 2nd year. The anatomical tables are assigned a maximum of 2 points and the multiple choice questions one point for each correct answer, to reach a total of 15, this test conditions the passage to the 2nd test.
2nd test oral interview exam in the presence of the Director of Didactic Activities and the Teaching tutor in relation to the student's training path with specific investigations and execution of traditional radiology investigations and CT executions. The test evaluation system follows the Guilbert scale, there are 15 items evaluated from 0 to 5 points which, when added to those of the 1st test, lead to the achievement of 30/30. The commission will evaluate any honors based on the results of the laboratory, seminar and individual evaluation forms. The evaluation meter is exposed and illustrated to the students in the meetings held by the Director of Didactic Activities.
