TRAINEESHIP
General objective: to orient to the profession oh Health Technician of medical Radiology, identifyng the professional skills. Must know the role of TSRM in the various operational contexts (traditional/CTdiagnostics, operating rooms.) The student must be able to apply the experimental method to the study of human and technological phenomena relevant to the profession, demostrating that hi i able to use it for the purpose the fundamental principles of physics, biophysics and computer science applied to the technological problems of diagnostic imaging. The student must also know the anatomy and radiographic anatomy of the different structures as well as the morphological-functional aspects of the various human systems. At the end of the first year, the student must be able to put into practice the professional skills acquired and perform basic radiographic projections.

Prerequisites

Modulo: 53302 - SEMINARI
------------------------------------------------------------
WORKSHOP
All courses of the first year must be passed except: "Computer science and statistics applied to radiological sciences" and "Biological sciences in radiology".
Knowledge of radiation physics, anatomy, radiological imaging, physiology, biology, equipment, professional and physical ethics must also be acquired and verified.

The ultrasound scanners: models, operating principles.
Image storage commands.
Vascular ultrasonography techniques: B-mode, Power Doppler, Spectral Analysis.
General tools and guidelines for perfecting Doppler echo measurements.
Demonstration of hemodynamic models on phantoms.
Techniques and technologies of ultrasonographic investigation of the venous and arterial system.

The traineeship represents the student's first experience in the health sector, it takes place in health facilities affiliated with S.S.N. mainly AOU and AUSL of Ferrara, but there is the possibility of being able to carry out further training activities in the territory of origin by agreeing it with the Director of Didactic Activities.
In particular, the internship in the first year takes place in Radiodiagnostics in order to:
- Know the department, observe how the work takes place;
- Interact with the operators involved in the diagnostic process, with the internship guides in compliance with the organizational hierarchy and with a view to teamwork.
- Acquire the first knowledge and skills of radiological techniques.
- Take care of patient safety in compliance with the specific Deontological Code.
An indispensable prerequisite for accessing the internship in person is the performance of the online course for safety in the workplace with low risk and production of the certificate of passing the test. In order to access the internship, the student must have carried out the ideal examination and comply with the requests of the occupational medicine doctor, furthermore a further examination and blood count to be carried out at the authorized doctor responsible for medical surveillance of workers exposed to ionizing radiation.

Didactic methods

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53302 - SEMINARI
------------------------------------------------------------
WORKSHOP
Theorietical activity in the classroom. Practical activity in the healthcare environment

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 53303 - TIROCINIO
------------------------------------------------------------
In the individual health facilities the student is accompanied by an internship guide, qualified and experienced TSRM professional, and assigned to a specific radiological equipment. The placement of students in diagnostic rooms is defined on the basis of the training objectives to be pursued and the specific skills of professional interest.
Simulation activities in educational laboratory with anthropomorphic mannequin. Classroom meetings. Execution of a university course on safety in working environments.

Learning assessment procedures

TRAINEESHIP
The final evaluation is subject to the achievement of the number of hours foreseen in the course of studies, or 375 hours. The method of verifying learning is shared by the Director of Didactic Activities with the students, in the meetings held during the internship.
The outcome is evaluated out of thirty with a weighted average, and includes:
- Evaluation of the professional laboratory included in the "professional training activities" 1 year I semester (no exam)
- Evaluation of the seminars present in the first and second semester
- Personal evaluation forms, written out of thirty, by the TSRM Clinical Tutors / Internship Guides at the end of each internship round.
The card analyzes and evaluates other components such as behavioral aspects in addition to the practical skills acquired. These assessments are included in the final grade only if the test is passed.
- The test is divided into two parts:
1st part written exam lasting 30 minutes with recognition of 6 tables of basic anatomy and radiographic anatomy and 3 multiple choice questions, chosen from the topics of the 1 year course. The anatomical tables are assigned a maximum of 2 points and the multiple choice questions one point for each correct answer, to reach a total of 15, this test conditions the passage to the test at the 2nd.
2nd part practical exam in radiological diagnostics: carrying out an X-ray examination of the osteo-articular apparatus or chest X-ray in patient diagnostics. The evaluation system of the test follows the Guilbert scale, there are 15 items evaluated from 0 to 5 points, in this case a proportion is made to have a final value of 15 points which, added to those of the 1st test, lead to the achievement of 30/30.
The commission will evaluate any honors based on the results of the laboratory, seminars and individual evaluation forms.

WORKSHOP
15 Multiple answer questions: 1 single correct answer among the alternatives, 0 points for each wrong answer and 2 points for each correct answer. In a time of 40 minutes
