GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS
Objectives related to preconception counseling. Understanding the physiology of pregnancy and the concept of high-risk pregnancy. Theoretical principles and methods of prenatal diagnosis .
Acquire the knowledge and ability to apply the knowledge to the obstetric monitoring of low-risk pregnancy.
Ability to apply knowledge in relation to physiological changes of organs and systems and the main instrumental and laboratory investigations useful in different gestational periods .
To know the concept of maternal and fetal well-being and ability to apply knowledge to the surveillance methods of fetal maternal health in pregnancy to term. Screening of infectious diseases in pregnancy.
OBSTETRIC GYNAECOLOGICAL SCIENCES
Acquisition of relevant knowledge:
-the determinants of the health project, strategies for prevention and identification of the pregnancy risk factors.
-the protection of pregnancy legislation, hygiene of pregnancy and obstetric care during the low-risk pregnancy.

Acquisition of skills related to the process of Midwifery Management in the assessment of low and high-risk pregnancy. Ability to implement the preventive and therapeutic intervention strategies in care of low-risk pregnancy. GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS
Preconceptional counseling. Reproductive risk factors. Physiological changes of the maternal organism during pregnancy.
Clinical monitoring of pregnancy. Main laboratory tests (biochemical monitoring, TORCH complex, screening for gestational diabetes), ultrasound evaluation and blood pressure monitoring.
Surveillance of maternal-fetal well-being in pregnancy at term.
Basics of cardiotocography. Screening of chromosomal diseases.
Prenatal diagnosis: non-invasive diagnostic tests (ultrasound) and invasive procedures (amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cordocentesis).
Nutritional requirements and supplements in pregnancy.

Learning assessment procedures

GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS
Oral examination lasting about 20 minutes consisting of two questions on the topics of gynecology and obstetrics program , the exam is passed with a correct answer to both questions. They will be evaluated: acquired skills , presentation skills and ability to transfer the theoretical knowledge in a clinical setting obstetrician.
The final mark out of thirty is derived from the average of the gynecology and obstetrics - gynecological nursing sciences.
OBSTETRIC GYNAECOLOGICAL SCIENCES
The Assessment oral test can be addressed by the student if it passes the written test in progress. The written test is divided into 20 questions including 15 multiple choice and 5 open-ended questions that go to investigate knowledge and skills acquired in the proposed clinical case than the course program.
The rating is 1.5 points for each question multiple response, and 2 points for the questions to answer open.
The test is passed if the student responds correctly to at least 10 of the closed questions and three open-ended questions.
The test is deemed insufficient if the student does not respond correctly to at least 8 closed questions and 3 open questions. The written test duration is 1 hour.
The properly executed written provides access to the oral exam.
oral exam begins with the assessment of the student's knowledge about the written questions which were considered insufficient. After the assessment of the written examination are asked 3 questions that go to investigate sequential and hierarchical manner:
1. knowledge, 2. the relevant legislation relating to midwifery skills, 3. the skills required for the purpose of collecting data in order to ascertain and skills aimed at the welfare of the intervention implementation. Each question is given a score of 10. The test is passed if the student exceeds at least 2 of the 3 questions posed by the teacher which will be added to the written test.
The test is considered insufficient if the student does not answer the first question concerning the knowledge considered barrier to the continuation of the trial.
Are of the evaluation, the properties of language indicators, the ability to create theoretical and functional practices correlations to express obstetric skills.
To obtain the praise the student must have correctly answered entirely to the written and oral test.
