TRAINING
The internship program aims the dual objective of :
- To empower students with the theoretical knowledge acquired ability to apply knowledge through behavioral principles concerning their activities obstetric care during labor and childbirth , for which it must be able to analyze and synthesize aspects of the planning, delivery and provided assistance evaluation.
- Provide a path that allows the student to develop sufficient autonomy in the identification, management and evaluation of interventions of professional competence in the field of labor and delivery .
-to promote effective educational relationships for therapeutic education in labor
SEMINAR Ethics and professional conduct
The student, at the end of the course, must know the main problems bioethical obstetric- gynecologic to an ethical reflection, and to understand the professional responsibility of the midwife, should critically analyze literature and scientific evidence on the basis of the values, beliefs, preferences of user and clinical judgment. It must obtain and interpret the information needed to make independent judgments and reflections on issues, social, scientific and ethical issues. Must define, according to the complex care levels, the field of responsibility and autonomy by referring to the legal and ethical rules governing the exercise of the profession .
LABORATORY Obstetric emergencies
The course is mainly practical. Through the use of simulations, mannequins and contextualized scenarios it aims to teach to make quick decisions in the light of scientific evidence.
The course aims to prepare students to tackle the course in the delivery room at:
• Acquire leadership during an emergency obstetric
• To be able to implement appropriate strategies based on the information with respect to the clinical situation
• Working in a rapid and efficient team
• Distribute the roles during emergencies
• Recognize the clinical and organizational priorities
• use the communication in case of emergency

TRAINING
The internship is carried out driven in areas with medium and high- complexity care in the context of the delivery room Learning courses include:
-the application of the techniques of the helping relationship (area of social skills)
-the application of the techniques obstetric care in labor and delivery at low risk and high risk (area of technical skills)
-the application of the obstetric care process methodology (area of cognitive skills of critical thinking)
Provide students the skills to apply their knowledge to facilitate the free positions in labor and low-risk childbirth
Provide the tools to assist the water birth

Assisted reproduction and in vitro fertilization: etic implications. Professional secrecy. Organ Donation for transplantation. Transplants from living donors. Ethics of organ transplantation. The clinical trial-farmacological experimentation. . Biotechnology: cloning, stem cells, bioengineering. The human genome and the frontiers of science. Euthanasia and aggressive treatment: wills of life. Economics and ethics in medicine: the choices.

Lectures and management to small groups of clinical scenarios according to High Fidelity Simulation (at the Laboratory of Macrosimulation the Section of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care of the University)
INTERNSHIP
Simulations, field training, development of critical clinical reasoning through the analysis of clinical cases with the constant presence of the internship guide belonging to specific professional.

Learning assessment procedures

TRAINING
Given the specificity and complexity of the training course were prepared 5 evaluation boards with training objectives sorted by charitable and organizational complexity . The student faces every evaluative step flanked to the Internship Guide expressing an opinion about the quality of the objectives achieved . The cards contribute to the final assessment of the training path .
If the card is insufficient , the student must repeat the steps proposed with a different placements Guide .
SEMINAR Ethics and professional conduct
teamwork of 2 students
An argument with evidence of current events where the student has the opportunity to express his critical sense of morality and ethics
The teacher corrects them the discussion takes place in the plenary where there is the opportunity for discussion with the whole class
The teacher asks questions during the dissertation " stimulus" when the student is not able to value some aspects of the work presented
Evaluation indicators are the property of language of matter. Analysis of the proposed situation. Personal critical skills of the student. The analysis of the argument legislation . Bibliography that supports the above subject The rating is expressed in 30/30, and competes in the final mark of the course of the second half
LABORATORY Obstetric emergencies
the student's skills are evaluated applying the shared procedures and interpersonal and communication skills in expensive emergency through the scenario technique. The test is passed if the student correctly uses the skills and collaborates actively in the activities of debriefing
