Learning assessment procedures

HISORY OF SCIENCE AND MEDICINE
Written test composed of several multiple choice questions and some open questions

SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE IN PUBLIC HEALTH: CRITICAL READING AND INTERPRETATION
The evaluation of the knowledge will be carried out through a preliminary written test, and subsequent oral test. The written test will consist of 25 multiple closed answers. Those who have obtained a grade of 24 or 25 will have the possibility to access the oral exam. If the oral exam is not held, the written exam grade will be maintained, without the need for further contact with the teacher. It will not be possible to access the oral exam with the written mark of a previous exam session.
For each question, 4 answers will be possible, 1, 2, 3 or all of which can be correct. For each wrong or not indicated answer, half the score of the question will be deducted. In case of two or more wrong or missing answers in a question, the whole question score will be deducted. Some questions are considered fundamental, and will be indicated with an asterisk. In case of two or more wrong answers in these questions, the exam will not be passed. The duration of the written exam will be 36 minutes.

MORAL DIMENSION AND SOCIAL ETHICS OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS
Written work to free choice of three topics covered during the course. The assessment will be based on the quality of answers submitted.
DESIGN OF RESEARCH IN THE MEDICAL FIELD
Development of a Randomized Controlled Laboratory Research Project in the medical field, in Italian and English, for groups of 3 students and subsequent oral presentation, only in Italian (self-registration, which will be shared with the class), the topic of which will be agreed upon with the teacher. Specifically, it will be a retrospective analysis of a recent scientific article, chosen by the students, from which to recreate a SIMULATED DESIGN STRUCTURE. The clarity and completeness of the project, the understanding of the topics and the quality of the presentation will be assessed.

THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS.
