This Course follows a training program that has a general aim of promoting knowledge to the student the theory and philosophy behind the health professions through a moral and social ethical dimension.
HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND MEDICINE
1. Knowledge of the main stages in the history of Western medicine; 2. understanding of the origins of the biomedical paradigm, including the treatment of gender issues; 3. ability to analyze the fundamental concepts of contemporary medicine (health, disease, therapeutic relationship) in a long-term perspective
THEORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE SCIENCE OF REHABILITATION
Knowledge: knowing the guiding principles and the basic philosophy of rehabilitative intervention (cultural and organizational references)
Skills: formulating the rehabilitation project of the person in the integration and sharing between different professionals, according to the ICF model
GENERAL LINGUISTICS
- knowledge of the essential properties of language as a faculty of human mind and as an instrument for communication;
- basic knowledge of the components of natural languages
SOCIAL ETHICS OF THE SCIENCE OF HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS
The course aims to:
Learn concepts of "autonomy and proportionality" in health care and in order to specific subjects such as Information and Consent
Identify the "criteria" for the allocation of forms to be entrusted to professionals to various organizational and management categories.

THEORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE SCIENCE OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY
The course will put the student in a position to: know and understand the key stages of evolution of the nursing and midwifery knowledge; understand the fundamentals of nursing discipline such as purpose, method and tools; identify the disciplinary theoretical constructs and application capabilities to the professional reality; describe and internalize the main theoretical elaborations of the discipline of nursing and midwifery from the perspective proposal.
The student will be able to: understand and process the conceptual and syntactic structure of the Discipline Nursing and Midwife, recognizing the abstraction levels of interest in theories of nursing and midwifery and to recognize and understand in their clinical work experiences the principles underlying the act nursing and midwifery.
The student will be able to explain the contents of the training course, starting from the didactic material provided by the teacher;
The student will be able to exhibit an MRT, starting from a bibliographic review;
The student will be able to prefigure a mini-research project of an SST, starting from the welfare characteristics of his / her working context.

THEORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE SCIENCE OF REHABILITATION
Cultural and organizational references of rehabilitation medicine. Guidelines (1998) and Address Plan (2011). ICIDH (1980) and ICF (2001). The philosophy of rehabilitation. Evolutionary phases of a disabling injury, type and guide criteria of the rehabilitation interventions.
The take-over in rehabilitation medicine. Structural rehabilitation project. Rehabilitation team. For team work tools: team meetings (oral communication) and integrated folder (written communication).

Ethical defensibility of the concepts of equality and inequality at different levels of management of nursing and midwifery sciences.
Perception of social identity: the choice of the "right policies" for the destination of the various categories of professionals organizational and management.

HISORY OF SCIENCE AND MEDICINE
Written test composed of several multiple choice questions and some open questions
THEORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE OF REHABILITATION.
Written test: 26 structured questions with multiple answers (5 answers 1 correct) and one open-ended question
Scoring criteria: 1 point for the correct answer to the quiz, 0 for incorrect or not given, 0-5 points for the open-ended questions
Evaluation criteria: correctness, completeness and synthesis in the language.
Given time: maximum one hour

SOCIAL ETHICS OF THE SCIENCE OF HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS: written work to free choice of three topics covered during the course. The assessment will be based on the quality of answers submitted.
ORGANIZATIONAL MODELS OF PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION
Presentation to the group of a paper on the topic agreed (prepared in small group) Average time 1 hour +1/2
Evaluation criteria: clarity, practical application skills, creativity
MEASURES OF PROCESS AND OUTCOME IN REHABILITATION
Written test consisting of 30 multiple choice questions each of them providing 4 possible answers (only one is right). The final score is calculated attributing 1 point for each right answer, 0 points in case of wrong or not provided answer. The final mark is the sum of the points achieved. To pass the exam it is necessary to get at least 18 point out of 30. In the event of achieving 30 points it is also offered an additional question to improve the final mark with laude (in case of right answer). The time allowed for this test is 45 minutes.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS.
