Training objectives
- On completion of the course the student is expected to know:
LABOUR LAW
Provide basic knowledge of the concepts of sources of law and of the hierarchy of sources of primary health care legislation. Make the students understand the importance of continuing education for health professionals.
PSYCHOLOGY OF WORK
Study and learn the principles of the psychology of work and of organizations in the past reality, today, in public companies and private ones. Knowing the techniques and tools for assessment of human personnel to work. Knowing how to establish a positive psychological contract and purposeful relationship between health professional and patient. Understanding the importance of the concept of work climate and the main detection techniques.
Increase the level of awareness of self in relation to others by itself.
Knowing how to identify and manage the main group dynamics.
BUSINESS ORGANIZATION
Providing the tools for evaluating the performance investigating the use of key performance indicators and reports in support of management.
Knowing how to better manage the care pathways, defining the fields of action and priorities for action.
FORENSIC MEDICINE
The main legal forces affecting nursing practice with particular emphasis on the history and development of legal procedure. Acquisition of knowledge applied to decision-making in nursing practice. Basic concepts of professional practice. Legal aspects related to the health profession. Basic concepts of professional accountability.

FORENSIC MEDICINE

Learning assessment procedures
- LABOUR LAW: one hour written exam with multiple choice tests: 15 questions, 3 of which are open. 2 points for each right answer.
PSYCHOLOGY OF WORK: Oral examination, aimed at assessing the integrated and coherent comprehension of the subject. The test will be directed at evaluating students’ acquisition of the ability to develop a personal point of view regarding the different learning themes. The exams consists of 3 questions and lasts for about 20 minutes.
BUSINESS ORGANIZATION: Students are divided in groups. Each group must develop, present and discuss a project regarding one of the course program topics with all other students. The topic can be chosen among those given by the teacher or can be freely chosen among all course program subjects. Students must analyze and illustrate their working context by using the instruments that were taught during the lessons.
Each group has 30 minutes to present the project they have produced, and they can use power-point or similar software tools. Presentation will be followed by comparison and debate with other students.
Assessment criteria are: knowledge of company structure tools; diligence in conforming knowledges learned in class during lessons to the working context; precision of presentation.
FORENSIC MEDICINE: Oral examination. Number questions provided: 2/3, depending on the degree of reasoning ability of the student. Average time required 1 hour per student
Criteria considered in the assessment: clarity and correct terminology; rigor in behavior during exposure and during the course of lessons; ability of practical application of the subjects taught
THE FINAL GRADE IS A ARITHMETIC AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS. Reference texts
