Training objectives

Acquisition of fundamental elements of developmental Neuropsychiatry with particular attention to disorders involving language and communication.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the physiological development of the child in particular as regards the evolutionary stages that are fundamental for interaction and social communication and language.

Course programme

Areas of competence of Evolutionary Age Neuropsychiatry.
Organization of the pediatric and adolescent neuropsychiatry service of the AUSL of Ferrara.
The main stages of child development: motor, relational, cognitive, linguistic acquisitions.
The main changes in development that may involve communicative-linguistic skills: language delay / disturbance, sensory disability, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, specific learning disorders.
Clinical assessment and integrated / multi-professional enabling project.
Outline of treatment of disorders of the developmental age involving the figure of the speech therapist.
