Training objectives

PSYCHOMETRICS
Provide psychometric concepts in order to be able to select and use test and to assess the adequacy of the tools used.
PEDAGOGIC SCIENCE
The course intends to provide the basic knowledge of pedagogy and its major thinkers. Give students all the tools they need to deal with and recognize the presence of a person with disabilities and the situation in which they are affiliated. Identify the correct strategies to make the operator / user relationship as effective as possible.
SPEECH THERAPY AND PSYCHOMOTILITY
On completion of the course it is expected that the student will have the knowledge required for an understanding of neuro-psychomotility during the age of development in relation to development of linguistic and communication skills and a knowledge of structural concepts of science of education.

Prerequisites

General knowledge of psychopathology. Fundamentals of Statistics. Knowledge of basic conceptual and linguistic instruments of educational knowledge.

Course programme

PSYCHOMETRICS
Basic concepts: what is psychometry?
Test as a measuring instrument. Descriptive and inferential statistics. Measures (mean, mode, median, standard deviation). Normal distribution. Z scores. Probability. Normalization. Use of test
PEDAGOGIC SCIENCE
The educational program examines both people with disabilities and their health and the needs of children and therefore their communicative and relational strategies:
- Definition of handicap deficit and various aspects of disability
- Reduction of the handicap and aspects of the integrity of the professionals
- communicative modes of the child: psycho-pedagogical, didactic, methodological aspects
- Motor activity addressed to people with various types of disabilities: physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, relational, aimed at improving the quality of life
- Needs the child based on contexts
- Designing an educational intervention
- Case Analysis (group work)
- Introduction of I.C.F. International Classification of Health and Disability Operation (O.M.S.).
SPEECH THERAPY AND PSYCHOMOTILITY
History of psychomotility. Therapeutic and educational approach (concept of holistics; body awareness; the importance of movement in the developmental process). Relation between language and action
Stages of psychomotor development. Psychomotor pathologies.

Didactic methods

Lectures.
For PEDAGOGY: Lectures, participative remarks, audiovisual vision and commentary, workshops.

Learning assessment procedures

PSYCHOMETRICS
Written exam with 15 multiple choice questions, 45 minute time. Evaluation criteria: correct answer = 2 points, wrong answer = 0 points.
PEDAGOGIC SCIENCE
The exam consists of writing a written work. As a test that has a creative and design character, students will be able to consult their study texts during the drafting process.
Critical, proactive, creative and design orientation will be evaluated within the topics covered during the course.
SPEECH THERAPY AND PSYCHOMOTILITY
Oral exam: two or three questions on the topics of the course. Lasting on average 20 minutes.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TEST.
