Learning assessment procedures

At the end of the term there will be an exam :its grade will be integrated with the one deriving from the exam of Prosthodontics I about complete dentures. The exam is based on the discussion of a rehabilitation plan with RPDs and consist of two parts:
1) the student is provided with diagram of an upper/lower arch cast reproducing a partial edentulism. The student will describe schematically and graphically the RPDs rehabilitation. At the end the Professor and the student will discuss the proposed rehabilitation.
2) questions on materials and/or procedures of the RPDs construction, often in reference to the treatment plan discussed in point 1).
Usually, the examination consists of four questions including the discussion of the clinical case. Grade assessment reflects the level of competence shown in the problem-solving approach, including clarity, capacity to apply the acquired knowledge to the clinical scenario, as well as appropriatness in diagnosis and treatment planning.
