Learning assessment procedures

STOMATOLOGY, ORAL MEDICINE, CLINIC AND THERAPY
At the end of the term The evaluation of the student is based on an oral exam focussed on the discussion of a clinical case with medical history material (anonymous patient files, photos, OPT RX, TAC DS, ...) provided by the teacher and never seen before by the student.
Usually, the exam is divided into two parts:
1) Evaluation of the material provided and diagnostic hypotheses;
2) Treatment plan hypothesis.
During the case discussion, questions will be asked (on average two per topic): the student should be able to talk about topics concerning all the different disciplines studied at university in order to show an overall competence of the matter. Grade assessment reflects the level of competence shown in the problem-solving approach, including clarity, capacity to apply the acquired knowledge to the clinical scenario, as well as appropriatness in diagnosis and treatment planning.Exam duration: 40-60 min.
ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES
Students' assessment is based on a close test organized in almost 20 questions to be replied in about 45 minutes. For each question, three possible replies can be chosen, only one of them is the right one. For each wrong answer and for each question not replied, some point will be deducted from the maximum mark the student could obtain.
