Training objectives
- The course aims to provide basic knowledge and abilities to apply the basic concepts of video-assisted surgery techniques; general knowledge of the surgical instrumentation; indications and techniques in abdominal surgery and thoracic surgery.

Course programme
- Techniques of videoassisted surgery. Surgical devices
Tecniques in abdominal surgery and in thoracic surgery Didactic methods
- Theoretical-practical activity. It will conduct a four-hour theoretical part and a practical part for the remaining hours in the Operating Room
Learning assessment procedures
- To test the ability to apply video-assisted surgical techniques, the exam is divided in two parts: the first part involves a question during an operation in the operating room, and the second part consists of a discussion of the case the student witnessed in the operating room.
