Learning of basic Pathology: etiology (genetic diseases, environmental pathology). Inflammatory reactions. Alterations of cell proliferation and differentiation. Tumours.
To learn the basic knowledge of pathophysiology of circulation and o other anatomic systems for the correct diagnosis of human disease processes.

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 006050/2 - FISIOPATOLOGIA ENDOCRINA
------------------------------------------------------------
ENDOCRINE PHYSIOPATHOLOGY
The course has the main objective of treating the pathophysiological basis of the endocrine system and metabolism
The main acquired knowledge will be:
The mechanisms that determine the functional and structural abnormalities of the endocrine glands
The changes that follow the states of excess or defect hormone
The basic acquired abilities will be:
Know and understand the main mechanisms that alter the functions and structure of the endocrine glands
Understand the rationale that underlies of laboratory tests performed for diagnostic purposes and their clinical relapses

Learning assessment procedures

GENERAL PATHOLOGY and PHYSIOPATHOLOGY:
Multiple choice test. 15 questions in 15 minutes. 1 point for every correct answer, 0 point for every incorrect or invalid answer. 9 points are necessary to pass the exam.
ENDOCRINE PHYSIOPATHOLOGY:
Oral test lasting 20-30 minutes with 2-3 questions, that will evaluate the acquired knowledge. In addition, the test will evaluate the capacity of connecting the acquired notions. To pass this test it is required to get at least 18 points out of 30.
Final graduation is calculated as arithmetic mean of the three partial marks
