NEPHROLOGY
To provide the sufficient knowledge to evaluate renal function at the time of patient admission. The main renal syndromes will be shown, addressing particularly worsening renal function and urinary tract infections. Aim of the course will be to recognize early renal dysfunction.

GENERAL AND CLINICAL NURSING SCIENCES
Knowing care models and organizational contexts applicable to geriatrics.
Use the nursing process to manage care of the major issues relating to the elderly patient and person with chronic renal failure
PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
To know the fundamental principles for managing the problems of users suffering from psychiatric pathology
Acquire the skills necessary to identify the health needs of users
Know the intervention strategies that can be imple-mented in the event of a crisis

REHABILITATION SCIENCES
Understanding the Principles of Rehabilitation Medicine.

The knowledge acquired will allow the student to relate to the disease experienced by the patient in terms of cognitive disabilities and / or physical , playing the role of nursing in collaboration with other professionals involved in treatment and care pathways of the patient, from the acute phase to phase of the outcomes of the disease stabilized.

Disorders of cortical functions related to motor activity: body image disorders, disorders of psycho-motor functions, with special reference to apraxia, cortical ataxic syndromes. Dementias.
Disorders of motor function from impairment of the pyramidal tract in brain and spinal cord pathology: central paralysis, spasticity. Pharmacological and physical treatment strategies.
Disorders of cerebellar function: cerebellar ataxia, dysmetria.
Disorders of vestibular and vestibular-cerebellar function.
Movement disorders from dysfunction of extrapyramidal system: the hypokinesia -bradykinesia in parkinsonian syndromes, rigidity-plasticity system failures and postural control in parkinsonian syndromes
Other movement disorders.
Disorders of the sensory system: sensory ataxic syndromes, nociceptive and neuropathic pain.
The pathology of peripheral motor neuron: defects of trophism, tone, muscle strength, reflex activity.
Disorders of the neuromuscular junction

Evaluation and prognosis of Rehabilitation Medicine with rating scales of the main impairments and disabilities acquired. Discussion on major complications and medical consequences of spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury. Prevention of secondary and tertiary damage by hypomobility. Assessment and prevention of fall risk.

Learning assessment procedures

NEPHROLOGY
The exam is a multiple choice test, 10 questions, four answers, and only one is correct.
PSYCHIATRY
Written exam with 30 multiple choice questions with 5 possible answers. Time on 45 minutes. Score: 1 point per correct answer; 0 points for not answered; -0.2 Point for wrong answer.
GENERAL AND CLINICAL NURSING SCIENCES
Written exam with multiple choice
PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
Written exam with closed-ended questions (one cor-rect answer) and questions with short, concise answers. Duration 45 minutes.
REHABILITATION SCIENCES
Written test consisting of 16 multiple choice questions each of them providing 4 possible answers (only one is right). The final score is calculated attributing 2 points for each right answer, 0 points in case of wrong or not provided answer. To pass the exam it is necessary to get at least 18 points out of 30. The time allowed for this test is 30 minutes.
GERIATRICS
Written examination with 30 multiple choice questions with 5 possible answers. Time available 45 minutes. Score: 1 point for correct answer; 0 points for an answer not given/wrong.
