On completion of the course the students are expected:
-To know appropriate evaluation strategies, evidence based when possible, of structures, activities and participation.
-to propose goals and treatment plans.
-to identify appropriate strategies of rehabilitation intervention and outcome evaluation in patients with uro- gynaecological (female incontinence due to changes in pelvic floor, management of neurological bladder) and oncologic disorders.
-identify useful communication strategies to support patients with uro- gynaecological ,oncologic and respiratory disorders
-describe the main interventions in oncologic rehabilitation , outcomes of surgery, pharmacological and radiation therapy.
-To define the general and specific goals of physiotherapy in oncologic and respiratory setting ;-to main applied rehabilitation techniques in oncologic physiotherapy.

RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY SETTING
On completion of the course the students are expected to know:
-the physiopathological foundations and classification of the main diseases of the respiratory system related to physiotherapy (obstructive lung diseases, Resctrictive lung conditions, Respiratorty failure, lung cancer, Respiratory infections.
-the aims and methods of evaluation of respiratory functions, in particular functional respiratory tests and stress tolerance; interpretation of test results in relation to physiotherapy competences.
-management (non pharmacological and pharmacological) of the main respiratory diseases in physiotherapy setting and identify clinical conditions that would benefif from physiotherapy.

-to apply basic strategies for the management of oedema (basic technique of manual lymph drainage: pressure, rhythm, sequence, concept of distal-proximal).
-to apply basic assessment strategies and therapeutic exercise in some respiratory disorders.

Physiopathological basis and classification of respiratory. Methods/aims of evaluation of lung function. Management of obstructive/restrictive disorders, respiratory failure, lung cancer; community and hospital acquired pneumoniae.
RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION
Rehabilitation planning in respiratory disorders. Basis of anatomy, physiology and physiopathology.
ONCOLOGY IN PAZIENTS
Concepts of aetiology/epidemiology, primary prevention, early diagnosis and cancer screening. Growth of tumours, metastasis. Histological classification. Differences between benign and malignant tumours. Tumoral stages.TNT system. Signs and symptoms of tumours. Biological basis of oncologic therapy. Mechanisms and side effects of chemotherapy and biological antiblastic drugs. Adjuvant, neoadjuvantand palliative therapy. Cachexia and malnutrition as a result of cancer. Learning assessment procedures

RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY SETTING: multiple choice questions. 30 questions. Test duration: 1 hour -1 exact answer, 1 point -0 points (wrong or no answer) -minimum of 18 points required to pass the test
RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION
30 multiple-choice quiz (five answer choices of which an exact one); one point each correct answer, 0 points for each question not answered or wrong, exam passed with 18 points out of 30. The questions will focus on pulmonary rehabilitation program. Allotted time: 30 min.
ONCOLOGY IN PHYSIOTHERAPY
The exam consists of a written paper with open questions, which provide answers to verify the knowledge of the program topics. The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths (minimum grade 18). Time allowed: 1 hour and 30 minutes
PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR RESPIRATORY , ONCOLOGICAL AND PELVIC FLOOR DISORDERS
- Respiratory physiotherapy:
Analysis and development of a clinical case on which 3 questions will be asked, other 2 questions concerning the entire program carried out.
Scoring criteria: articulated clinical reasoning, logical, correctness and language properties.
- Oncologic physiotherapy and in patients with lymph oedema. Multiple choice questions. Criteria for scoring: 1 point for a correct answer, 0 point for wrong answer or not given answer.
Duration: 60 minutes.
- Physiotherapy in patients with uro-gynaecological disorders: Oral exam, lasting 20 min.
Questions about applied knowledge. Voting based on the correctness and completeness of the answer and use of professional language.
CARDIOVASCULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY: multiple choice questions (one correct answer out of five possible options, 1 point for a correct answer, 0 point for wrong or not given answer), 5 quizzes for each topic covered in class . Minimum passing score 18/30. Time: 30 minutes.
SKILLS LABORATORY FOR ASSESSMENT AND TECHNIQUES IN CARDIO- RESPIRATORY VISCERAL SETTINGS: Assessment of basic skills in the execution of manual lymph drainage techniques. Eligibility.
