Training objectives
- Ability to a textual analysis of complex texts, particularly concerning contemporary literature in German. Knowledge of historical, political and literary contexts, operating with sociological, psychoanalytical methodologies and using cultural studies.
Prerequisites
- C1-level in German Language
Course programme
- Contemporay literature in German: intercultural and multilingual texts of the 21st century
Didactic methods
- The course will take place in seminar format and will involve the active participation and regular attendance of students.
Learning assessment procedures
- The examination consists of two parts:
A. term paper (max. 4,000 words) on a topic/text covered in class;
B. oral examination on the topic of the paper and related topics of literary history covered in the lecture.
Non-attending students are required to contact the teacher via e-mail to arrange an appointment during the reception time, in which all indications and the examination program will be provided. Reference texts
