Course programme

The lessons will concern the description and the application of different methodologies and approaches to spanish literature didactics: they are included in the current legislation about teaching foreign languages in italian high schools. We will pay especial attention to didactic tools, evaluation and new technologies. The selected texts will belong to the XIXth and XXth centuries and they will refer to spanish language literature: we will analyse them thanks to an intercultural and multidisciplinary perspective.

Didactic methods

Lessons are divided in teacher-led and workshop lessons: they will have a practical approach in order to develop skills and good practice, which will be useful for planning didactic activities.
Students will be invited to plan, simulate and share didactic practice, that means possible lessons for defined groups of learners.

Learning assessment procedures

Attending students: the exam paper will consist of a didactic project, which can be written in italian or spanish, about a topic that should be agreed with the teacher. A didactic module, one of the included in the project, will be simulated during one of the workshops lessons. The required language will be spanish, for this part of the exam. Papers must be sent to the teacher within a week before the exam. During the exam, projects will be analyzed and discussed and students will explain their selected approaches in view of theoretical discussion about different methodologies in spanish literature didactics.
Students who are not attending: the exam paper will consist of a didactic project, which can be written in italian or spanish. Papers must be sent to the teacher within a week before the exam. During the exam, they must simulate a part of the didactic project and then they will present it to the teachers, discussing about the theoretical background about different didactic methodologies about spanish literature.
