Training objectives
- The aim of this course is to improve the knowledge of ancient philosophy analysing a specific topic and reading directly the texts.
Prerequisites
- A basic knowledge of ancient – first of all Greek – philosophy. A knowledge of the ancient Greek language ist not a necessary prerequisite, but it is desiderable
Course programme
- Aristoteles‘ philosophy: general introduction, Aristotelian logic and metaphysics
Didactic methods
- The course will focus on the direct reading of the texts with the active participation of the students.
Learning assessment procedures
- The oral examination (some questions about the content of the course) will be preceded by a written paper on a subject chosen by the student among those treated in the course
