Training objectives

The course deals with principles of Italian, European and International Environmental Law, with a specific attention to the circular economy. The analysis will also focus on the role of intellectual property for supporting technologies which can reduce environmental harms.

Prerequisites

Fundamental principles of Private Law, Business Law and Public Law. Good command of English language.

Course programme

The first part of the course deal with:
- Principles of Italian, European and International Environmental Law;
- European Strategy for the Circular Economy;

The second part of the course deals with the analysis of the role of intellectual property for supporting technologies for reducing environmental harms.

Didactic methods

The teaching method is based on a sinergy between theoretical analysis and discussion of practical cases.

Learning assessment procedures

Final oral exam on the topics covered in class.

Slides and decisions analyzed during the lectures.
