Training objectives

TRAINING
On completion of Practical Training the student is expected to be able to:
-apply communication, rehabilitation and management skills involved in the therapeutic relationship
-exercise autonomy in organization of rehabilitation programmes for individual patients or for group therapy (under supervision)
-understand the characteristics of the patient’s psychodiagnostic picture and analyse patient needs
-collect data, plan rehabilitation treatment, compile monitor, activity and rehabilitation reports
-analyse the strong and weak points of healthcare treatment and evaluate together with the tutor possible solutions for improvement

SEMINAR "PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHY INTERVENTIONS"
Learning of clinical-rehabilitation paths with scientific evidence in mental health aimed at users and family members. Acquisition of information relating to the phases of psychoeducational intervention, acquisition of the methods for activating and conducting a family, multifamily or group psychoeducational intervention and the modules of the various manualized interventions.

Prerequisites

SEMINAR "PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHY INTERVENTIONS": knowledge of the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation and of the theories and techniques of the interview, knowledge and experimentation of therapeutic relationship techniques.

Course programme

TRAINING
Attendance at a Psychiatric Day Center or Day Hospital, Services of Child Neuropsychiatry or Services for Drug Addiction with tutorship for technical-practical activities
Participation in planning meetings of the unit
Taking part in clinical case review meetings with the sending team
Participation in rehabilitation groups for socially competent behavior
Spivak Rehabilitation model
Faloon Rehabilitation model
Rehabilitation in cognitive-oriented groups
The integrated management of complex cases: Case management model
Development and discussion of some projects on an individual patient or group
Application of the assessment tool VADO and Recovery Star
SEMINAR "PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHY INTERVENTIONS"
Definition of the principles and theories underlying the main psychoeducational interventions and the salutogenic theory. Deepening of the techniques and styles of conducting psychoeducational interventions, through simulated. Description of family, multifamily and group psychoeducational interventions.

Theory and practical exercises
SEMINAR "PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHY INTERVENTIONS"
Lectures and direct execution by all participants of practical activities in the use of tools, techniques and methodologists through role playing.

Learning assessment procedures

TRAINING: Ongoing evaluation, which consists of an interview concerning a written product on practical breakthrough. This first evaluation will contribute to defining the final grade, the end of the Internship of the second half.
