Training objectives
- The aim of the course is to integrate the formation of the future general pratictioner by keeping him in training with basic teorical and pratical notions in order to stitch up in a right way.
Prerequisites
- Concepts of general pathology and pharmacology
Course programme
- Properties of the skin. Asepsis-Antisepsis, Local anaesthetics, Chirurgical instruments, Suture Materials (threads, needles and diameters), Kinds of stitches (interrupted stitches, running suture, Blair-Donati stitches, staples, micro-sutures)

Learning assessment procedures
- Oral exam: 3 questions will be performed on different arguments, for a global time of 15 minutes.
The exposition end the way of communication will be evaluated.
Practical exam: the ability of the student to perform specific suture points will be examinated as well as his capability in the management of surgical intruments. Reference texts
