Training objectives
- The Unit aims at delivering knowledges useful to understand the health environment and the health organizations (public hospital, private hospitale, hospital trusts, etc.) managerial dynamics. At the end, students will have the ability to use the complex information system to support decision making process and performance measurement systems.
A special attention is given to the organization characteristics and to its interaction with the health delivery process. Prerequisites

- Teaching methodologies will be based on:
Lectures, related to any macro-area of the program, aiming at delivering the basic concepts;
Case studies, related to the 2nd and 3rd macro-area of the program, aiming at developing the ability to interpret data, context, and learning how to do;
Experts seminars, aiming at giving the chance to students to interact with real world's practitioners. Learning assessment procedures
- Exams are defined only according to the Department exams' agenda.
Students' assessment is based on:
- a written assessment (of about 1 hour time) organized in 2 or 3 open questions and 15-25 close texts [50%];
students could replace the written exam through an assignment to be agreed with the lecturer.
- a colloquium (the latter will be done only in case the student had a positive note in the written assessment), [50%]. The colloquium assessment will last about 10 minutes and could be related to any topic of the exam's program.
For students, it is compulsory to complete the assessment with the colloquium by the end of the assessment session. Reference texts
