Training objectives
- By the end of the course students will acquire A2 level of competence according to CEFR, and will be able to understand and converse with native speakers about daily life, passions and interests, time and places, future plans and past events.
Prerequisites
- “Chinese Language” is not an elementary course so it is recommended to attend first Lingua cinese A and B (http://docente.unife.it/tommaso.rossi/insegnamenti) in order to acquire the methodological and linguistic fundamentals of Modern Chinese. Students should also be aware of the L1 grammar framework, as well as knowing the parts of the speech and their functions.
Course programme
- The lectures will cover the following topics:
- Daily life, days and time
- Study and spare time
- Physical appearance and character
- Transport and shopping
- Talk about a past event
- Work and holiday time
- Festivities
Students should also read some articles about cultural and socio-economic issues. Didactic methods
- Lectures, grammar exercises, listening practice, role-play, interactive learning authentic task learning.
Learning assessment procedures
- Written test
The test aims at assessing the achievement of the educational goals stated above. The written test consists of a quiz on vocabulary and phonetics, grammar exercises, a short reading comprehension and two questions on the cultural readings. The test will only include contents treated in class and provided on the teaching materials. Reference texts
