  • How can I find accommodation in Ferrara?

  • Where should I send my Learning Agreement?

You must send your Learning Agreement to the Erasmus coordinator, further information can be found here: http://www.unife.it/studenti/en/incoming-mobility/before-arriving

  • When will I receive the invitation or acceptance letter?

The invitation/acceptance letter is sent mainly to non-European students as it is necessary for the entrance visa, all European students nomination from our partner universities are automatically accepted and will not receive an official acceptance letter.   • Where can I find the academic calendar?

The academic calendar is published on the following link: http://www.unife.it/studenti/internazionale/studenti-in/calendario-accademico students are strongly recommended to arrive either for the welcome days or, in case, not later than a week before classes start.

  • Does the university organize a welcome week?

The University of Ferrara orgnanizes, twice a year, a welcome week for Erasmus and International exchange students, this activity is held before the start of the first and second semester.   • Does the university offer Italian language courses?

The University, through the language centre, organizes several courses for regular or exchange students. The courses are held both in the first and second semester.   • As Erasmus or exchange student am I requested to pay an application fee?

All Erasmus and International exchange students must pay an application fee for the registration to the University and for insurance costs. In most cases (i.e. Erasmus students) the amount will be only € 28,00 unless there isn't a different agreement between the partner university and Ferrara.

  • I'm having trouble with the Application Form where can I find support?

  • My access code doesn't allow me to enter the Application Form, what should I do?

This code is created directly from the Incoming Students Office. Please verify you have entered the information correctly, if you keep having problems please get in touch directly with the office writing a request on the SOS platform: http://sos.unife.it selecting the tab "Incoming students"

  • I'm not able to access the private area with my login and password, what should I do?

If you are unable to access your private area first of all try to modify your password selecting the option "forgotten password", if you keep having trouble than you must get in touch with the Incoming Students Office writing your request on the SOS platform through the following direct link: https://php.unife.it/sos/form.php?OPT=TI

  • Which documents should I send to the University of Ferrara before my arrival?

Our application process is exclusively online, so you do not need to send any document with the exception of the Learning Agreement that must be sent to the International Coordinator once you have collected the signature of your home institution.   • Should I have a health insurance for my stay in Ferrara?

All incoming exchange students must have a health cover during their stay in Ferrara. However, while European students can benefit of the International Health Insurance Card (TEAM), non-EU students will have to activate a specific health insurance either in their home country or once arrived in Italy.

  • Where can I find details on my Erasmus Coordinator?

  • I'm studying medicine abroad, is it possible for me to apply for a clinical practice in your University?

The University of Ferrara allows international students to apply for a clinical practice (minimun duration 2 months) only if the activity will be part of an Erasmus mobility.   • Does the University of Ferrara offer courses taught in English?

The University of Ferrara offers several courses taught in English, it is even possible to study an entire Master Degree in English but only within specific study field.   • I am an international student and I would like to apply for the admission to a Bachelor degree, what should I do?

International students that have studied abroad can apply for a Bachelor degree however they need to hand in several documents in order to prove that they fulfill our entrance requirements, moreover depending on the citizenship (EU or non-EU) the procedure may vary.   • I am an international student and I would like to apply for the admission to a Master degree, what should I do?

  • Where can I obtain my transcript of records/certificate of exams?

  • Can I have an e-mail contact?

If you need to go get in contact with us, you must use the online student support: http://SOS.unife.it

  • Where can I obtain a Tax Code?

To obtain a Tax Code, you have to go to Agenzia delle Entrate. This is the only legal Tax Code, the one released by the system is only provisional

  • Which kind of insurance offers me the University of Ferrara as an exchange student?

The University Insurance covers accident insurance and civil liability. For health insurance, while European students can benefit of the International Health Insurance Card (TEAM), non-EU students will have to activate a specific health insurance either in their home country or once arrived in Italy

  • Are there Joint Titles at the University of Ferrara?
