In 2007, the University Library System started a project to implement a Quality Management System compatible with UNI EN ISO 9001.
The University Library System Board approved the Quality Guidelines on 6th March 2009 as passed by the Management Board of the ULS on 4th February 2009.
The certification authority, Bureau Veritas, issued a compliance certificate on 17th June 2009 for the management of reference and loan services, Document Delivery (DD), Interlibrary Loan (ILL) as well as book, periodical, and electronic resources purchase and management.
