Training objectives

Objective of the general pathology course is the ethiology and the pathogenesis of the diseases. In particular the course will focus on the mechanisms involved in the functional and morphological changes of the acute and chronic inflammatory response, wound healing. The course will also focus on the molecular mechanisms leading to alteration of the growth and cellular differentiation, innate and acquired immunity, immunopathological reaction.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology and physiology
