The oxidative and inflammation effects of exposure to respiratory irritants and sensitizers by means of non-invasive methods: EBC, Sputum and FeNO

Evaluation of effects due to the working exposition to asbestos, identification of possible biomarkers of exposition and characterization of the mechanisms involved in the onset and in the progression of human malignant pleural mesothelioma.

The impact of aging and chronic diseases on work performance in over-50’s workers.

Research infrastructures: The research group has a library , clinic and a laboratory for analysis, sampling and storage of biological samples. The research group collaborates with diverse University laboratories and therefore has easy access to equipment such as NMR, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, portable TURBO-DECCS condenser for Exhaled breath condensate and FeNO

 

Prerequisites of the trainee researcher:
Level of education: “Marie Curie Individual Fellowship” Action requirements.
Research experience: at least one year of clinical and/or lab experience
Required working language: English or Italian
