weather station and webcam in Botanic Garden

In 2009 a weather station Davis Vantage Pro II and a webcam Mobotix have been installed in Ferrara Botanic Garden (by Meteopoint).

The station consists of barometer, thermometer, hygrometer, pluviometer, anemometer and solar radiation sensor. The station is connected to a data logger which records climatic data real-time and transmits them on the web every 15 minutes. Climatic data are used for local environmental monitoring, statistics, educational and research. The weather station respects the rules laid down by World Meteorological Organization.
The webcam shows a real-time small area inside the Botanic Garden. Showing change of seasons through changes in vegetation is the purpose of the webcam.
