Index Seminum

List of seeds and spores of the University Botanic Garden of Ferrara for exchange

In response to the Convention on Biodiversity (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), the Botanic Garden of Ferrara informs its correspondents that seeds and spores from Index Seminum are available on an exchange basis only, exclusively for institutions working in the areas of research, breeding, conservation and education. No seed material is provided to individuals or commercial firms. Any material obtained from these seeds may not be used to generate commercial profit. Seeds or their progeny passed on to third parties must be submitted to the same conditions. Research publications resulting from the use of the genetic material should acknowledge the Botanic Garden of Ferrara as the supplier. A copy of them should be provided to ortobotanico@unife.it. By ordering seed or other plant material, the recipient accepts and pledges to respect these conditions. Orders will be dispatched according to availability of seeds.

University Botanic Garden of Ferrara exchanges its Index Seminum with about 200 partners every year. If you want to become our partner and receive our seed list, write to ortobotanico@unife.it and ask it. We will send you our catalogue as pdf file. Remember: we do not answer to privat persons and commercial firms.
